About the Role (your why)
We are on the lookout for a hands-on, experienced Change & Release Manager to join our IT Service Management team. You'll be responsible for the delivery and governance of the Change & Release Management process.

You'll be owning the delivery of Datacom Change & Release Management services to your customer minimising risk to the underpinning customer environment. You'll also ensure that all Change & Release management participants adhere to the Change & Release Management processes in line with customer requirements and ITIL Best Practices. You will also be leading CAB meetings and delivering Change & Release reports and schedules, as well as working closely with the ACS Release Team.
Our offices are in Adelaide, Brisbane, Canberra, Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, and we like to bring people together in person when we can, but we are mindful of the benefits of working from home for work/ life balance. We therefore leave it to you and the team you join to figure out what works best!
Please note that to be successful in this role, you will need to be an Australian Citizen and be able to achieve Australian Government Baseline clearance.
What you'll do
As Change & Release Manager, you'll be responsible for:
- Owning and managing the end-to-end Change Management process
- Identifing and implementing improvements to the processes to meet the needs of the Department's business and technical areas, in collaboration with IT Business owners, CAB and other relevant parties
- Working with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate and enable Changes and Releases whilst minimising the risk to ICT environments
- Developing and maintaining process and supporting documentation to the process such as user guides, templates and checklists to promote internal and external engagement with the processes
- Facilitating effective communication to and coordination of all change process stakeholders
- Acting on escalations received, or escalate as required per the process
- Ensuring that Forward Schedule of Change (FSC) is maintained and communicated
- Conducting review of standard change effectiveness and facilitate the approvals of standard change, with particular focus on change.
What you'll bring
As Change & Release Manager, you will be technically solid, creative, passionate about delivering next generation technology, a great presenter and the type of person that our clients will like, trust and enjoy working with.
The role will require minimum of 8 years of experience in a Change and/ or Release Manager role across a multi-vendor and complex environment. You will have strong interpersonal skills and stakeholder management at all levels of the organisation. You will have a detailed understanding of ITIL Change Management methodologies and a sound understanding of technical concepts and framework. Ideally you will be ITIL certified.
