About the role
We are looking for an experienced Change Communications Specialist to join our collaborative and supportive team and through the use of storytelling, support the organisation to bring our values to life.
Reporting to the Executive Director People, Culture and Safety you will be responsible for developing the internal communication strategies, programs and plans needed to disseminate the right information, to the right audiences, through the right channels, at the right time.
This is an exciting new role you where you will have the opportunity to scale MMP's approach to internal communications, fostering our unique culture, values and the experience of all employees.
- Develop and execute an internal communication and engagement strategy to convey the organisation's purpose, values, and great news stories effectively.
- Design and lead end-to-end internal communications programs that inform, engage and inspire our teams.
- Partner with teams and stakeholders across MMP to guide complex change management communication initiatives.
- Bring our value of Respect Diversity to life through thoughtful and inclusive programs, partnering with our teams to create a culture of belonging and inclusion.
- Work collaboratively with employee committees, and other stakeholders to unify the MMP's voice and culture.
- Manage communication channels and cadences including internal events with a focus on driving engagement and alignment.
- Ensure our people are equipped with the information needed to do their best work and ensuring internal communications resonate with our diverse and dispersed workforce.
- Foster a sense of connection, alignment and engagement among employees.
About you
To be successful in this role you will need strong collaboration and consultation skills and the ability to work closely with various internal stakeholders. You will also have demonstrated experience and capabilities in;
- Collaborating cross functionally to develop clear messaging that cascades to teams across sites and business units.
- Partnering to provide support and advice to leaders across to communicate effectively with their teams and the wider organisation.
- Distilling complex topics into compelling messages, building and managing creative campaigns, and designing crisp written and visual content.
- Developing communication plans and materials relating to programs, projects and change management.
- Incorporating feedback mechanisms into communication strategies to evolve and improve them continuously.
- Planning, prioritising, and execution of simultaneous projects and events
- Adapting communication strategies and tactics to evolving organisational needs
- Using graphic and illustrative communication design tools and methods
