Job description

Location: ACT, AustraliaRequirement: Must be an Australian citizen with baseline security clearanceThis role reports to the Director, Architecture and HPRG Delivery and will function as part of a multi-disciplinary team of IT professionals.The role will be responsible for:

  • Working with the Director to deliver projects from initial planning to implementation, ensuring that all aspects of the change are well-coordinated and executed efficiently.
  • Using various project management tools to track project status, risks and issues.
  • Maintaining detailed documentation and writing status reports as required.
  • Liaising with stakeholders to determine project scope and priorities.
  • Facilitating communication and maintaining strong relationships within the teams, with business areas and other stakeholders.
  • Attending team meetings and being the point of contact to report progress and issues back to the Director as needed.
  • Engaging with stakeholders to gather feedback or address concerns.
  • Supporting teams to follow agile values, principles and practices.
  • Anticipating challenges, identifying potential risks and developing strategies to mitigate them.
  • Monitoring the performance and stability of solutions during the hypercare period to identify issues or areas for optimisation.
  • Documenting reported hypercare issues and their resolution status, escalating issues to teams for further investigation and resolution as required.

  • A sound understanding of IT delivery processes.
  • Experience in building organisational capability and leading change.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure, prioritise and multitask across projects in a variety of environments.
  • Ability to deliver exceptional results with a resilient and positive approach to issue resolution.
  • Ability to communicate with influence, negotiate strategic outcomes and manage strategic stakeholder relationships.
  • High level of organisation with great attention to detail.
  • Well-developed strategic conceptual and analytical abilities.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to tailor and present information to various audiences.
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Ability to adapt to a changing environment and undertake initiative to suggest improvements and streamline processes. Desirable Experience
  • Project Management certification
  • 2+ years’ experience in a similar role within Federal government
  • Prior experience in the delivery of IT projects
