The Area Manager role oversees the day-to-day operations of our Charity Housie team in Greater Sydney.
This is a fixed term full time opportunity for a period of 8 months (Parental Leave cover).
The responsibilities of this role include:
- Lead, develop, train, and upskill the team of Bingo/Housie Workers (currently 16 PT/casual staff).
- Manage all operational elements related to housie sessions in allocated Clubs (currently 28 sessions across 17 venues), including but not limited to running sessions to targets, promotions, stocktakes, training of new staff, ordering stock for sessions where required, rostering staff, etc.
- Liaise with Clubs and patrons to ensure that strong and professional relationships are built and maintained.
- Use customer feedback, staff feedback and financial results to make and recommend improvements.
- Work with Session Supervisors to ensure that all session reports are completed in portal during sessions.
- Roster staff including managing leave, conducting training and induction, and managing WHS and return to work plans.
- Conduct regular meetings with Bingo/Housie Workers as well as Self Reflection reviews.
- Regularly update the Housie Management Team on sessions, attending weekly video catch ups and monthly face to face meetings.
- Coach Bingo/Housie Workers to ensure sessions are delivered to a high standard and positive relationships are built.
- Manage customer complaints.
