Job description

The Charity Manager will deliver on the foundation’s financial and social impact objectives in the APAC region.

The successful candidate will engage IMC employees in making a positive impact in the community through volunteering, financial matching gifts and giving-related social events and initiatives. In addition, they will make recommendations for the allocation of the Foundation’s funds in the most effective way.

Reporting to the Foundation Board, the Charity Manager will work closely with the Foundation Directors, external administrators, charity committees and colleagues across Legal, Accounting HR and office management. The role will also collaborate and support global partnerships and will interact with Charity Managers in IMC’s other global offices.

Your Core Responsibilities: 

  • Develop strategic goals and initiatives to enhance IMC’s charitable annual plans and develop the overall employee engagement strategy.
  • Work with committees to formulate and execute on the annual plans and budgeting requirements. 
  • Develop trusting, collaborative relationships with non-profit leaders within the IMC foundation’s grant portfolio and future potential grantees. 
  • Work with local non-profit organizations to plan and execute employee volunteer activities, remote and in-person, and recruit IMC employee volunteers 
  • Create quarterly reports on employee giving, volunteering and charity activity. 
  • Manage the employee-giving software platform and track charity giving, KPIs, and budget 
  • Run regular meetings with the charity committee and 3 subcommittees and maintain minutes of meetings 
  • Collaborate with IMC events team to plan successful employee giving events. Past examples include Super hero day, trivia nights, employee-nominated grant competitions, and our annual trading day for charity. 
  • Cover all administrative processes for the Foundation and maintain relevant resources including confluence pages, ensuring policies and processes are up to date.

Your Skills and Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience 
  • Experience working in the social impact sector. Experience related to education based initiatives, would be valuable 
  • Demonstrated commitment to non-profit and volunteering initiatives
  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills 
  • Experience planning successful volunteer events that align volunteer interests with non-profit needs 
  • Ability to flex between strategy development and rolling up your sleeves to get things done 
  • Availability to participate in evening and weekend events when needed 
  • Team player mentality and a can-do attitude
