Chef, Cook and Kitchen Hand

Big River Tavern & Country Club at Berri in the picturesque Riverland would like to hear from qualified Chefs or Cooks of all experience levels to assist our Head Chef in leading our dedicated kitchen team. 

We have a range of opportunities from permanent part time to full time salary roles for the right candidate.

Candidates must be able to demonstrate:

At least 1-2 year’s experience at a similar level;
Minimum 2 years’ experience in a restaurant or catering role with recognised high standards; 
Workplace training from within a high standard environment;
An understanding of the preparation, delivery and services associated with the highest standards of cuisine found in the dynamic hospitality environment;
Experience in a fast paced bistro style location would be an advantage but not a requirement;
Knowledge of the highest standards and quality production, preparation and presentation within a kitchen environment;
Knowledge of the highest standards of hygiene practices as laid down by health and safety regulations
Creativity and flair;
An understanding of Hospitality Industry (General) Award compliance; and
A strong appreciation of food, hygiene and workplace safety.
