Mackey’s Hotel, located in the heart of Latrobe, is looking for a positive, confident, and passionate qualified Chef for a Casual position. With a spacious bistro and a fantastic menu that offers great value and caters to everyone, Mackey’s Hotel presents a great opportunity to showcase your skills.
What the role looks like:
Working in a fast-paced kitchen environment and under the supervision of the Head Chef, you will be responsible for a variety of culinary tasks, including but not limited to:
Food Preparation
Assisting with cost management
Ensuring food health and safety compliance
General cleaning and maintenance
Menu Planning
Assisting with inventory and ordering
Successful candidates will have a trade qualification as well as:
A passion for food, coupled with a dedication to providing exceptional service
Previous experience in pub/bistro-style dining (preferred but not essential)
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Enthusiasm and commitment
The ability to work under pressure and multitask
Reliability and flexibility, with a commitment to working a variety of shifts, including day, night, and weekend shifts.
