About the role
We currently have an excellent opportunity on offer for a dedicated and passionate Chef to join our team on a permanent full-time basis at our new state of the art residential aged care facility located in Maddington. You will be part of a committed and inclusive team who take pride in providing our residents with a wide variety of nutritious meal options tailored to their care plans, while prioritizing safe and hygienic food practices and promoting overall wellbeing. The successful candidate will work under the guidance of the Head Chef with responsibility for line management to the Catering Assistants during shifts, menu planning and personalising resident care.

The following experience and qualifications will see you to success in this role:
- Minimum Cert III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent, Cert IV preferable
- Experience catering to individuals in a Residential Aged Care setting or similar, consistently meeting the relevant culinary and nutritional standards required.
- Sound knowledge and application of Australian Food Safety and hygiene Standards, and dietary nutrition requirements.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, lending well to a diverse and inclusive team environment.
- Good time management, attention to detail and record management skills
- Infection Prevention Control Certificate
- Safe Food Handling Certificate (obtained within the last 12 months)
- Evidence of Covid and Influenza Vaccination (preferable)
- National Police Clearance (obtained within the last 6 months)
