We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Chef Manager to oversee our kitchen operations at our care home in Bateau Ba, NSW.
As the Chef Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of culinary professionals, managing inventory, ensuring food safety standards, and delivering exceptional dining experiences to our Residents.
Full-time permanent position paying $29.04 - $35.43 + super, depending on qualifications and experience.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise kitchen staff, including hiring, training, and scheduling.
- Create innovative and seasonal menus that that meet the dietary preferences of residents.
- Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure high-quality standards are maintained.
- Manage inventory levels and control food costs to meet budgetary goals.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and sanitation standards.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that encourages teamwork and creativity.
- Handle customer inquiries, feedback, and special requests with professionalism and efficiency.
Who are we looking for?
- Proven experience as a Chef Manager or similar role in a high-volume kitchen environment.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- In-depth knowledge of culinary techniques, food safety, and sanitation practices.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Certificate or diploma in culinary arts or relevant field preferred.
