Pay rates: Restaurant Industry Award Level 4. $32.73 Normal, $39.27 Saturday & $45.82 Sunday.
ROLE DESCRIPTION
We are looking for an enthusiastic & driven venue chef to be involved in the new opening of The Sand Bar.
We will offer a variety of mouth-watering food across breakfast, lunch and dinner.
- Bring The Sand Bar to life by delivering an exceptional quality food offering
- Drive, motivate and lead the team by example.
- You are an organised & passionate chef, with a ‘customer obsessed’ focus that drives sales and builds a regular client base.
- Support the team by leading in the kitchen and supporting the front of house staff.
- Assist the Executive Chef to ensure quality standards and food hygiene compliance are always met.

Shifts are generally worked between the hours of:
- 4am - 1pm
- 1pm - 10pm
Flexibility across all shift times are highly regarded! Expectations are to be available weekdays & weekends for a minimum of 4 shifts a week.
We will be mindful to put you on a rotating roster, so you have work/life balance!
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Prepare High Quality Fresh Food - using locally sourced ingredients and adhering to our preparation guidelines.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
- Maintain ARE Food Safety Plan Procedures and Standards
- Comply with WHS and Food Safety Legislation
- Ensure that the food prep area and kitchen are cleaned and sanitised at the end of your shift.
- Collaborate with the executive chef and production manager on workflow improvements and wastage control.
- Bring your new 'on trend' Menu / Product ideas forward!
- Have a keen eye for detail.
