AddressChef-Outback Queensland
We are seeking an experienced Chef for this busy property located in Outback Queensland.
The successful candidate will be highly experienced in menu planning, food presentation and be hands on to maintain a clean kitchen. As a passionate chef, you will take pride in your work and be skilled in stock control, ordering and providing quality service.
As the Chef, you will be required to perform daily duties in the café/bar/kitchen as highlighted below in the Main Duties/Responsibilities. You will report directly to the Managers.
This spectacular destination has stunning landscapes to enjoy on days off, with an abundance of wildlife and history.
Package:
- $75,000 salary

Main Duties/ Responsibilities
• Plan, prepare and cook meals as per the menu.
• Help in the preparation and design of all food and drinks menus.
• Comply and enforce sanitation regulations and safety standards.
• Food presentation and preparation.
• Adherence to any dietary requirements (allergies, special requests).
• Maintaining a clean kitchen / cafe, equipment and utensils. This includes, but not limited to, cleaning all kitchen areas in accordance with a daily cleaning schedule: sweeping floors, mopping, washing dishes, wiping counters, cleaning stoves, fridge/s, and sinks.
• Comply with reasonable requests to assist the Manager/s in achieving objectives of the kitchen and site.
• Stock ordering, rotation and stocktaking.
• Ensure you are following the relevant food rules, regulations, and licensing requirements.
• Maintain a positive and professional approach with co-workers and guests.
• Ensure that a friendly and caring atmosphere is demonstrated to tourists and visitors.
• Logging kitchen maintenance requests and determining urgency of those requests.
• Assisting the broader team as required.
• Operation of vehicle in safe manner.
• Knowledge of chemical use and SDS information.
Additional Information:
-The successful candidate will ideally have their own vehicle if not public transport is available
-Drivers License Required
