Our philosophy is based on offering our guests meals that source fresh, seasonal, local produce and one which encourages bringing people together to share a meal, an experience and a memory.

Zeea's Eatery is looking for an energetic and motivated Chef with relevant experience and qualifications, who is friendly, enthusiastic and passionate about people and food.

Your role as a Chef with Zeea’s Eatery has the following responsibilities:

  • Setting up the kitchen with utensils, equipment, knives, pans, etc
  • Cook food in a timely manner
  • Inform Front of House Staff about wait times
  • Ensure appealing plate presentation
  • Slightly modify recipes to meet customers needs and requests
  • Monitor food stock and place orders
  • Check freshness of food and discard out of date items
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations within the kitchen area
  • Create, execute and teach high quality, new dishes;
  • Run kitchen service at a high level of food quality and consistency;
  • Thrive in an environment of teamwork and idea sharing;
  • Ensure that all kitchen equipment is properly maintained
  • Ensure that all kitchen hygiene standards are maintained

As a Chef with Zeea's Eatery, you must have the following attributes: 

  • At least 1 year of proven experience as a chef
  • Ability to remain calm and multitask
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Up to date knowledge of cooking techniques and recipes
  • Familiarity with sanitation regulations
  • Strong passion for food and desire to utilise local seasonal produce
  • Composed under pressure and highly organised
  • Reliable and trustworthy, with a great work ethic and “can do” attitude
