Cook $40 (Casual rate) + Super - Two weeks on and two weeks off
GBSC are looking for a residential Chef/Cook or committed FIFO (2 weeks on 2 weeks off) for an 80-person camp in Roebourne, WA.
Flights, accommodation, and meals are all provided.
As the Camp Chef/Cook, we are looking for someone who will have:
- Manage all aspects of food service
- Plan meals
- Ensure cleanliness of food preparation and delivery areas
- Follow state health department regulations pertaining to safe food practices (HACCP)
- Assist with stock ordering, rotation, and stocktaking
- Assist with placing food orders in accordance with budget and in a timely manner
- Check all food/ supply orders
- Prepare meals on time Breakfast, Crib and Dinner
- Keep kitchen clean and in accordance with department of health regulations at all times
- Ability to work independently and with others
- Ability to train/ mentor kitchenhands
- Time management skills
- Commitment and enthusiasm
- Available at short notice
- No FIFO experience needed
To be successful you will have:
- Chef / Cook Certificate
- Minimum 5 years Chef / Cook experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Moderate proficiency in MS Office
- A genuine understanding and interest in working within a small proactive business environment
- An out-and-out team player with a strong commitment to team environment dynamics
- Ability to maintain a healthy work life balance
- Can do and positive attitude
