The Opportunity
We are currently looking for an experienced and hardworking Chemical Engineer with formal qualifications in Chemistry to be part of our team. You are reliable, have high attention to detail. This position is currently based in Seven Hills but moving to Kemps Creek in 2024.
Key Responsibilities
- Setting up machines and equipment to ensure correct materials and equipment are used and that they conform to specifications.
- Machine Calibration.
- Weighing of raw materials to specific formulations.
- Diagnose malfunctions in our chemical plant and instituting remedial action.
- Plan and implement laboratory operations to develop new materials and fabrication procedures for new materials to fulfil production cost and performance standards.
- Review product failure data and implementing laboratory tests to establish or reject possible causes and advising on ways to overcome any problems.
- Perform in-process quality control checks.
- Cleaning - end of shift/run, cleaning of equipment.

- Experience in operating machinery in a manufacturing environment.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Meet WHS requirements – follow all safe work procedures.
- Work as part of a team and autonomously as required.
- Show good literacy and numeracy skills.
