This is an opportunity to join an expanding multinational organisation which is at the forefront of their specialist technical area providing products for Defence. This Chief Engineer position has been created to be a leader in this specialist defence products area.  You will be an integral part of the leadership team. 

Your new role 

This critical engineering leadership role will see you accountable for the engineering strategy throughout product development.  This is a rare opportunity where you will be involved in research and development through to full product production and delivery, to ensure technical integrity of designed products. This will include leading a cross-functional team, financial control over development, responding to customer enquiries, participation in tenders, scheduling program objectives, and mentoring and development of staff.   

What you'll need to succeed 

• Degree qualifications in Engineering, and Chartered Professional Engineer
• Proven ability to lead solution development and complex engineering design programs
• Experienced leading multidisciplinary engineering teams and driving successful technical projects
• Ability to gain an Australian Defence Security Clearance
