- Lead the technical integrity of designed products.
- Lead the development, review, and maintenance of the Safety Case for EOS products.
- Lead multi-discipline teams to deliver required outputs.
- Ensure engineering strategies and processes meet business objectives and operational needs.
- Support business and project development initiatives through targeted technical knowledge.
- Review and evaluate products and prepare long range development plans to attain objectives.
- Exercise financial control over the development of products.
- Initiate and support new business opportunities and assist in the development of responses to customer and industry inquiries including RFQs, tenders, industry requests for information.
- Review and evaluate technical work, schedule and co-ordinate to attain the delivery of program objectives.
- Provide leadership to mentor and develop direct reports to deliver continuous improvement.
- Make decisions concerning selection, training, discipline and remuneration of staff within the Development team.
- Minimum 10 years practical experience in product development, design, delivery and verify mechanical, electronic, or autonomous systems or in a similar engineering role.
- Minimum 5 years supervision experience leading a multi-disciplinary engineering team in a Defence or project engineering role.
- Demonstrated ability to drive complex technical programs to successful completion.
- Experience in Design Authority or capability to hold design authority delegations.
- Australia regulatory experience (civil or military) for complex projects.
- Proven experience mentoring multidisciplinary engineering teams.
- Must have a “hands-on” approach to designing, building, testing, packaging and delivery of technical solutions.
- Experience in Defence sector is preferred.
- Bachelor Degree in Engineering.
- Postgraduate qualifications in Engineering is highly desirable.
- Registration on the NER as a Professional Engineer and Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) certification is required.
- FIEAust certification highly desirable.
