About the role
As the Chief Executive and leader of IDS, you will assist the Board with plan and be responsible for the operational, business, financial leadership and health of the organisation. You will take ownership of the Board’s strategic vision and take the necessary steps to see it come to life.
With the support of a committed and invested Board in this role you will get to.
- Help develop and execute the strategy, annual business plan, and budgets that will align with the board’s overarching strategic goals and visions.
- Identify and drive new business development, funding, and partnership opportunities.
- Expertly manage relationships with key stakeholders, including the critical relationship with the technical software supplier.
- Developing and delivering all marketing and communications plans.
- Membership management, managing existing members and working proactively to grow the membership.
- Consortium management.
- Create, and build a collaborative innovative culture that always strives for excellence and champions the work of IDS.
- Report and feedback to the Board.
About you
This role will suit an experienced leader with a commercial mindset, who likes to lead from the front and can grow and develop a business or organisation.
What we will be looking for in this person will include:
- Proven senior executive leadership experience.
- A strong commercial acumen and adept negotiating skills.
- Demonstrated success growing and developing a business or organisation.
- Business development, sales, and/or marketing expertise.
- Demonstrated financial and business management skills.
- Exceptional relationship management
- Expert communication skills
- A results orientation.
A knowledge of or demonstrated understanding of the sector would be an advantage, as would a technical background but is not essential.
In return for your expertise, this role will be empowered to take ownership of this role and its deliverables. You will be set up with the tools required to enable you to work from wherever you are in New Zealand, provided you are flexible to travel for business opportunities.
The position is advertised at the ideal of 32 hours (4 days a week), however, interested applicants seeking full-time hours will be considered.
