Recognised for its cultural effervescence and gastronomy, the City is a very attractive tourism and conference destination, bringing considerable income to the broader local economy.
As the new Chief Executive Officer, you will play a pivotal role in driving the strategic direction of the Council, ensuring that it remains proactive and adaptable to the changing needs of our community, residents and visitors.
Your primary responsibilities will be supporting, advising, advocating and representing the Council and region more broadly, fostering a positive place to work and public image with our key stakeholders and community.
You will also be responsible for implementing cutting-edge management and leadership practices and boosting a culture of outstanding customer service across all our Council teams. Additionally, you will be nurturing a collaborative atmosphere, encouraging open and honest communication whilst promoting equitable work practices.
You will oversee the delivery of both our strategic and financial goals by drawing on your significant executive leadership experience combined with excellent financial skills. You will be a passionate and collaborative “can-do” leader who builds strong relationships whilst sporting a strong commitment to good governance and applying your sound understanding of the operations of the Local Government sector.
