This privately owned, well backed organization is entering into a new chapter of growth with a clear strategy to double in size in the near future coupled with a new ERP system implementation to go live this year.
The Role
As CFO, you will provide high quality accounting and financial services to all operations of the business in a cost effective, responsive and flexible manner to achieve business goals.
As CFO, you will have a true process improvement mindset to drive change and lift performance across the business. Your will have considerable involvement in the successful outcome of an ERP implementation and the reengineering of business processes to realize greater efficiencies.
This role will require you to demonstrate true business partnering & leadership qualities, with a direct team of approximately 12 finance staff + IT. Key stakeholders will include Sales, Supply Chain and Operations.
Whilst this role has a strong strategic component, as a medium sized business that is set to grow you will be expected to be up to date & hands on with statutory accounting, tax & audit requirements.
Among your key responsibilities will include:
- Strategic planning in conjunction with the Chief Operating Office and Management Advisory Board
- Management of statutory accounting, audit, treasury and tax functions, ensuring all compliance requirements
- Strategic planning, financial analysis, modelling, guidance and recommendations to support process and profit improvement
- Management accounting including production reports, manufacturing cost analysis, budget preparation, setting production standards, stocktakes etc.
- Risk management & compliance
- Oversight of credit management & shared services
- Development and review of procedures, policies and controls.
- Enhancement on return on assets and productivity through introducing new technologies
- Management of banking facilities and management of insurance arrangements.
- Staff management & supervision
- M.B.A. preferred but not essential
- Professional accounting qualifications (CPA or CA)
- Minimum 10 years’ experience post qualification, working in industry in a commercial role - ideally in manufacturing.
- Strong up to date technical accounting skills - statutory, tax and audit
- Strong knowledge of ERP financial systems
- Staff Supervision experience
- Stakeholder engagement and relationship building skills
- Strategic mindset with a track record of progression and driving performance.
