About the Role

Reporting directly to the CEO and as a key member of the executive team, you will lead the Finance function of the Simba Global Group, and its subsidiaries. This role balances strategic thinking and driving corporate finance and capital management strategies to ensure financial stability and future growth.

You will work closely with the CEO to challenge the ELT in developing key initiatives that will unlock commercial efficiencies and opportunities and will be comfortable communicating with the market to build and maintain strong investor relations.

Specifically, your responsibilities will include:

• Provide leadership to the business by ensuring economic forecasting and modelling, financial planning, investment activities and budget development supports key objectives across all entities.
• Use financial analysis, data trends and market information to anticipate needs, identify operating/financial issues, and recommend actions to maximise financial returns.
• Oversee treasury functions, including banking arrangements, investments, cash flow analysis, equity management and working capital management.
• Stay at the forefront of industry trends, identifying innovative financial solutions to drive sustainable business growth.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of governance policies and practises, including risk management and assurance processes.

To be amazing in this role

You are a seasoned finance leader who is always looking forward. You have experience in multiple-country, multiple-entity accounting environments You lead financial strategy with confidence and clarity and have strong business acumen with a pragmatic approach to growth and cost management.

Technically you bring to the role;

• A degree in Accounting or Finance and professionally qualified as a Chartered Accountant or CPA (or similar)
• 10 + years experience in a similar role.
• Strong understanding of financial systems, taxation, statutory and auditing requirements.
• Experience in high level corporate affairs, legal affairs and risk management.
• Experience in M&A activities, from due diligence to integration .
• Exposure to Investor Relations, with exceptional communication skills.
• Experience with consolidations across international entities.
