The Role:

Dashdot's success is rooted in our ability to assist clients in achieving their life goals through streamlined property investment, minimizing risks, and delivering top-notch services. As a Chief Financial Officer your mission is to enable Dashdot Group's rapid growth and optimise our financial performance.

Your role involves being a strategic financial leader, overseeing planning, analysis, and ensuring regulatory compliance. Exceptional lateral thinking skills are essential, allowing you to connect disparate information into actionable insights. In a fast-paced scale-up environment, you should excel at quick decision-making, project management, and exhibit strong business acumen.

Your role is to develop and implement financial strategies aligned with Dashdot Group's overall objectives. You will be accountable for providing accurate insights and recommendations to the CEO while collaborating with the executive leadership team.

Your dealings with stakeholders require strong collaboration and communication skills with an execution bias, coupled with a high degree of curiosity. Assertiveness should be balanced with humility, empathy, and approachability, reflecting high emotional intelligence.

You will be deeply passionate about business growth, possessing a high ownership mentality, autonomy, adaptability, and a commitment to truth-seeking. While the role may evolve, its core objective will always remain aligned with our mission to transform the world's approach to property investment.

From day one, you will serve as a lynchpin, providing strategic financial leadership, planning and analysis to contribute to Dashdot Group's overall success and growth.

The Responsibilities:

Strategy and Growth:

  • Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with Dashdot Group's overall objectives,
  • Provide insights and recommendations to the CEO that align to our organisational vision.
  • Collaborate with leadership team to conduct regular evaluations to optimise financial performance, business modelling, and strategies for improvement.
  • Manage company structuring, assess mergers and acquisitions, lead financial due diligence, and propose funding options to support Dashdot’s growth strategy.

Leadership:

  • Lead your team (including a Bookkeeper and AR Officer) in a way that is aligned to Dashdot's Vision, Mission, Values, and company culture.
  • Foster team collaboration and communication, prevent silos from forming and nurture a cohesive organizational culture.
  • Maintain healthy relationships with key stakeholders, partners, vendors, and external specialists, serving as the main point of contact for advisors and government agencies.

Day-to-day Operations:

  • Provide ultimate accountability for day-to-day financial operations, overseeing AP, AR processes, payroll, entity accounting, and tax-related functions.
  • Manage strategic projects, critically assess best practices and oversee the review of tax accounts, obligations and lodgements for all entities.

Financial Planning, Analysis & Reporting :

  • Own accurate financial modeling, and lead budgeting processes while coaching department heads in budget management.
  • Conduct thorough financial analysis, monitor and report on key metrics, prepare accurate statements, reports, and forecasts for presentation to the executive team.
  • Ensure 100% accuracy in reporting systems, reconcile end-of-month reports, and evaluate daily, weekly, and monthly performance, providing data-driven insights for trend identification and improvement opportunities to the CEO.

Optimisations:

  • Continuously optimise systems, processes, and automations for increased accuracy and efficiency, including oversight of the central knowledge platform (Notion).
  • Strategically assess the business for key scaling activities to expand operational capacity, optimising cash flow, working capital management, and implementing strategies for liquidity optimisation.

Risk Management:

  • Identify and mitigate financial risks, ensuring compliance with industry regulations. Develop robust contingency plans for unforeseen challenges.
  • Implement and manage internal controls, interfacing with external auditors and regulatory authorities to safeguard company assets.

It is ESSENTIAL that you have previous experience in either M&A or Capital raising.

You will have:

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a track record of successfully navigating complex challenges.
  • Strategic thinking with the ability to translate financial data into actionable insights.
  • Analytical and pragmatic.
  • Solid business acumen
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Above average spreadsheet skills
  • Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a CFO or senior financial executive.
  • Experience in Real Estate is a bonus, but not a requirement .
  • Expert level financial modelling and forecasting.
  • Excellent leadership and communication abilities.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards.
  • Proven track record of leading success in a high-growth company.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and implementing financial strategies that drive scalable growth.
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
