The Domestic Violence Prevention Centre (DVPC) is a specialist service which supports women, children and young people who have experienced domestic and family violence. We also deliver the Men's DV Education and Intervention program and convene an Integrated Response group that works with agencies on the Gold Coast to improve collaboration and responses to victim survivors of domestic and family violence to enhance their safety and wellbeing.

About the Opportunity
This is a new role that will play a pivotal role supporting the CEO and leadership team to execute the organisation’s strategic plan, manage key initiatives and ensure the smooth operations of DVPC. You will act as a traffic controller helping to direct and prioritise the daily agenda in addition to making communication and decision-making processes more effective.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as an advisor to the CEO and leadership team to facilitate effective decision making and help deliver service objectives.
- Represent the CEO’s views at meetings and report on actions and outcomes.
- Prioritise enquiries directed to the CEO, determine a recommended course of action and delegate to the appropriate individual as appropriate.
- Assist in the execution of strategic initiatives by enabling strong collaboration and communication amongst the leadership team.
- Contribute to the operational decision making and strategic planning of the organisation.
- Ensure the timely and accurate distribution of critical information across the organisation ensuring the leadership team and all staff are well-informed.
- Coordinate the organisational responsibilities for board meetings, including assisting in the preparation and distribution of board papers, presentations and other materials as needed.
- Record and document minutes during meetings as directed by the CEO, ensuring that action items and follow-up responsibilities are clearly captured.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and community organisations.

Key Skills and Experience
- 5+ years’ experience as either a Business Manager (or equivalent) within a community/not for profit setting
- A bachelor’s degree or higher qualification in Business Administration, Human Resources or related discipline
- Proven experience in strategic planning, project management and operational oversight
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with a track record of building and leading high-performing teams
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines, and deliver results
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire a diverse range of stakeholders
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Proactive, adaptable, and solution oriented
- Demonstrated integrity and commitment to ethical practices
- Experience in a domestic violence organisation desirable
