The position provides oversight of the patient journey to ensure safe and timely patient care. To ensure safe and timely assistance in the delivery of patient care with in the Operating suite and help coordinate workflows of the operations assistant team. Supports members of the multidisciplinary team by assisting them in setting up operating rooms, assisting in the positioning of patient s and helping to maintain a clean environment.The role reports to and supports the Nursing Unit Manager, Operating Theatres and is a key resource for the Operating Theatre Assistant team.What we can offer youThe Illawarra Shoalhaven Local Health District (ISLHD) provides you with an excellent career choice with many rewarding experiences.   • Well-developed time management and delegation skills, with demonstrated ability to escalate issues when necessary.
  • Demonstrated sound written and oral communication skills.
  • Detailed understanding and experience in rostering staff within a 24 hours per day, 7 days per week hospital setting.
  • Highly developed negotiation and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated expansive knowledge across all surgical specialties, their related equipment and positioning needs.
  • Demonstrated experience in financial budgeting management of resources and equipment
