About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and energetic individual with a strong customer focus to fill the role of a Theatre Assistant. As a Theatre Assistant, you will be working in the theatre department.
Your responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Working with and assisting clinical staff;
- Cleaning and waste removal;
- Ensuring theatres are set up for surgical procedures and equipment has been checked;
- Transporting patients between wards;
About You
While experience is not necessary in this role, an interest in patient care is essential to succeed in this role. You will have excellent communication skills and a willingness to develop a working knowledge of hospital procedures. You will be a motivated, positive individual and demonstrate a high level of attention to detail. Willingness to learn and to be trained as a hospital assistant.
You will also have:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work effective within a team environment and independently.
- Excellent patient and customer service focus
- Be available for a range of shifts across a 7-day rotating roster
About the Hospital
Westmead Private Hospital opened in October 2000 and is owned and operated by global hospital group, Ramsay Health Care. We cater for a broad range of health care needs from day surgery procedures through to highly complex surgery.
The 192-bed private hospital is co-located with Westmead Hospital and Westmead Children’s Hospital and is a teaching hospital of the Western Clinical School of the University of Sydney.
