The Chief Pathologist is responsible for:
Leading and advocating for the development of pathology professional standards across NSWHP.
Overseeing the translation of standards into the clinical governance framework for NSWHP to promote and support clinical excellence across the State. Overseeing the NSW Health Statewide Biobank and NSWHP Public Health Pathology Services.
Providing high level expert advice to the NSWHP Executive on all clinical matters and collaborating with pathologists to advance clinical practice across NSW in line with our strategic priorities.
Facilitating clinical engagement across NSWHP, Local Health Districts/Specialty Networks, NSW Health Pillars, Ministry of Health, Justice Health and Forensics and other health agencies.
