An opportunity to design, deliver and lead a new team into the future capability of RPA and deliver a CRP Office within DEECA.
The Chief Remote Pilot will develop, write, and maintain RPA doctrine including, however not limited to, policies, procedures, manuals, guides, and communications
The Chief Remote Pilot will Ensure compliance with legislation, industry, and government standards and lead by example to create a culture of safety first
Develop, enforce, and monitor RPAS maintenance standards (including investigation of defects) and oversee maintenance for Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems (RPAS) in accordance with the manufacturer's specifications.
Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications

• An appropriate qualification in aviation (Chief Remote Pilot) or approved equivalent
• Remote Pilot Licence (RePL)
• Understanding of Civil Aviation Safety Legislation, including flight authorisations and registrations
• Demonstrated experience in complex project delivery
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, ECM SharePoint and MS Teams) and Adobe Acrobat Pro D.

This is an ongoing position. The work location for this position is flexible with hybrid work arrangements available.
