About the Position
We are looking to welcome a Child and Family Consultant to provide consultation, assessments, advice, and input that will provide better outcomes for children and families.
- Flexible location - work from Roma or Chinchilla.
- Full Time opportunity to May 2025 pending government contract.
- Level 5 under the SCHCADS award. Salary range is $93,860 – $98,112 plus super.
Key responsibilities of the role include:
- Provide opinion, guidance, advice, assessment and consultation on referrals, processes, and service connections.
- Respond to referrals and collaborate with stakeholders to provide holistic assessment and support planning.
- Contribute specialist skills through information gathering and analysis, collaborative assessment, and collaborative consultation on planned responses, triage, action, and outcomes.

About You
- A tertiary degree in a relevant discipline (Allied Health, Psychology, Social Work, Human Services).
- At least five (5) years’ experience working with children, young people and their families who have been impacted by trauma or have experienced abuse and neglect, or more than five years’ experience in similar roles.
- Specialist skills in drug and alcohol, mental health, family and domestic violence, or child development.
- Expertise in family functioning, parenting, attachment, and parenting capacity and functioning.
Other Requirements
- Eligibility for a Working with Children Check or professional exemption.
- Current driver’s licence.
- Legally able work in Australia (proof of eligibility will be requested).
- Fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or have an approved medical exemption.
