Casino Community Health is seeking a Child and Family Counsellor to provide a range of community based Child and Family counselling services in accordance with evidence based practice, and an in-reach response to the acute setting as appropriate for children under 12 years.
Working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary framework ensuring a focus on health promotion and early identification and intervention.
About you:
- Relevant qualification in Bachelor of Social Work with eligibility for membership to Australian Association of Social Workers OR Degree in Psychology and eligibility for full registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Demonstrated extensive experience in the provision of clinical services for a complex case load, with demonstrated experience working in domestic violence, low risk suicide and child development for children 0-12 years and substantial knowledge of life span stages
- Sound understanding of complex health and mental health conditions across both the acute and community health settings
- Understanding and knowledge of Aboriginal social, cultural and economic issues with capacity to flexibly develop local responses to community needs using cross cultural communication skills
