Bridging the Gap Sydney West has been supporting children, Youth and families in our local community for over 40 years. Our counselling team focusses on targeted earlier intervention (TEI) for children and young people at risk of disengagement from school, family and community.
Our counselling services are located in the St Marys / Penrith area. This is a part time position, 2-3 days a week with days and hours of work negotiable.
About you:
- Masters degree in Counselling, or similar (essential)
- Current registration currency with ACA, CCAA, PACFA, or similar (essential)
- ACA Level 3 or similar (preferred)
- Experience in adolescent &/or family counselling (at least 2 years essential, greater preferred)
- Experience working across a range of issues such as anxiety, depression, gender identity, neurodiversity, family relationships, domestic violence, parental drug and alcohol misuse, parenting skills, school and learning difficulties (preferred)
- Knowledge of current child protection, work health & safety and privacy legislation (essential)
- Excellent organisational skills (essential)
- Experience working collaboratively in a team environment (essential)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (essential)
- Capable with technology - Client Management Systems, Word, Excel, and Outlook (essential)
- Can demonstrate a value for Christian faith community.
Successful candidates will need to provide:
- Current Working with Children Check employee clearance
- Current Police Check clearance
- Current NDIS worker clearance
