Position: Child, Youth and Family Support Worker
Employment: Casual
Start Date: Immediate
Salary: $35-$55 (Above Award Rates) + Super and Km's

Support Worker workforce across the Child, Youth and Family (Out of Home Care) sector in Victoria. Working with multiple Community Service Organisations, Community Staffing Australia provides a solid foundation of support in the communities we serve.
As a CSA Child, Youth and Family Support Worker, you will be engaged across multiple OoHC settings, including:
Therapeutic (Youth) Residential Care
Home-Based Care
Disability (SIL)
Supervised Family Contact
Integrated Family Services
Youth Transport
Respite Support
Emergency Contingency Support
Successful candidates will have:
A minimum Cert IV (or currently studying) in a related relevant Community Services qualification, including the completion of the mandatory top-up training units (Community Staffing Australia offers limited paid top-up training for applicants who meet all other criteria)
Availability on an on-call basis between 6 am and 8 pm during the weekdays.
Available three days a week
The ability to work regular business hours, afternoons, weekends, overnight stays, and public holidays.
Mandatory Requirements:
National Police Check and Right to Work check (CSA-specific resource provided)
Current Victorian Driver Licence (P2 minimum)
Working With Children's Check (Employment)
NDIS Check
Reliable and roadworthy vehicle
Full Comprehensive Car Insurance
Current Accredited First Aid + CPR [HLTAID011 and HLTAID009]
Passport, Australian Birth Certificate and/or Australian Citizenship (proof of ID)
Key Selection Criteria:
Experience supporting, engaging and mentoring children.
Empathy, compassion, and a positive attitude
Ensuring that you can provide stability for a young person.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and respect individuals' privacy
Availability on an on-call basis between 6 am and 8 pm during the weekdays
Ability to provide support (up to 1 hour drive) from the place of residence.
Reliable, trustworthy, taking Initiative
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Must be highly attentive to surrounding environments to uphold the safety of self and young people in support.
Ability to de-escalate heightened behaviour with a young person who has experienced trauma in a calm and appropriate manner.
Must respect diversity and maintain a professional environment.
