We are seeking an educator to work with us in our boutique family owned childcare centre in Wyoming on the Central Coast. Our centre offers quality care to 55 children a day, 5 days per week.
We have 1 position in our Toddler room (2-3 years) with 3 other staff members with a maximum of 20 children.
About You
The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with busy toddlers and be flexible, fun and energetic. They will have strong knowledge of the EYLF and National Quality standards.
Essential qualifications needed for the position are:
- Cert III/Diploma in Early Childhood Services (ACECQA approved) or ECT
- First aid / CPR / Asthma and Anaphylaxis training and current certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Current Working with Children Check
The Role
Your duties and responsibilities will include:
- Plan and implement a quality program that reflects the EYLF
- Develop open communication with educators, children and families
- Use progressive routines throughout the day and implement indoor and outdoor programs to respond to the needs of individual children
- Create indoor and outdoor learning environments that provide the children with opportunities to explore, experiment, create, take risks and play
- Facilitate children’s play through weaving the children’s emerging interests with professional expertise
- Communicated positively and openly with children on an ongoing basis
- Provide physical care, assisting children in daily routines and mealtimes
- Conduct observation and evaluation of children’s development
- Maintain up-to-date records for each child within the group
- Respond to the emotional needs of the children
- Comply with policies and procedures along with licensing, legislation and regulations
- Create a stimulating, positive and aesthetically pleasing environment to support children’s development
- Support other educators, manage own time efficiently along with the daily routines and daily requirements of the room and children in their care.
- Be extremely pro-active and use own initiative.
- Have excellent English communication skills
