Days & Hours of Work: Monday to Friday totalling 35 per week plus rostered weekends
Competitive Salary: Band 5 - $80,620 p.a.+ 11.5% superannuation

This position reports to the Brighton Branch Librarian and is also a member of the Children and Youth Services Library team.You will be responsible for:
- The key purpose of the Children and Youth Services Librarian role is to create and deliver library programs and develop high quality collections for the children and youth of Bayside, their parents and care givers, to promote a love of reading and life-long learning.
- To play a lead role in providing exceptional customer service to library users and create community partnerships with other relevant agencies with a focus on youth.
- To supervise and manage branch operations when required and ensure best practice with collection development, responding to the needs of the community.
- This position may be required at any Bayside Library Service branch.
- An experienced information professional with a library qualification
- Highly developed interpersonal skills and the ability to develop and maintain strong workplace relationships, across all levels.
- The confidence and ability to step into existing projects and hit the ground running.
- A highly organised individual, to ensure the organisation continues to meet its strategy and plan commitments through project, program, and initiative delivery.
- Be willing to undergo and complete a satisfactory criminal history check.
- Provide or obtain an employment-based Working with Children check
