- Band 5 salary range from $69,877.08 - $80,435.68 per annum, pro rata plus super
City of Ballarat is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated professional to work as part of the Libraries and Lifelong Learning team to provide high quality, efficient and friendly customer, information and learning services that meet the diverse needs of the community.
This position is responsible for Developing and delivering early years, children’s and Youth Services and programs that promote the library as a dynamic and integral part of the community. This position also works closely with the library team to support the provision of excellent customer service.

Key Selection Criteria
- Qualifications and Experience of a degree course or through lesser formal qualifications with relevant work skills and eligible for professional membership of the Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA).
- Demonstrated skills and aptitude developed in a customer service environment.
- Experience in the provision of information services including online resources.
- Working with Children check
- Demonstrated ability to champion, model and promote the corporate values.
- Considerable experience in a range of IT applications and digital technologies including handheld devices.
- Well-developed interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with a range of people from diverse backgrounds, cultures and abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet organisational strategic outcomes.
- Experience in the development and delivery of early years literacy, reading and digital literacy programs, services and activities for children and young people.
