What You Will Be Doing
Utilising your knowledge and skills in child development, you will work with young children and their families to seek to attend to their goals. Evidence-based practices including socio-emotional and behavioural strategies will guide your interventions, and child safety, wellbeing and development is paramount to your practice.
This role works within a large, multidisciplinary team in the Community Health Children's Services Program area. The culture is warm and supportive, adaptable, and is committed to professional development and quality improvement.
The position provides scheduled sessions within the clinic settings across Community Health, and also offers advice and consultation to other services within a care-team approach on occasions.
What You Need
We anticipate you will have:
• AHPRA Registration (Psychologist with full registration) or Social Worker who is
eligible for membership of AASW
• Demonstrable skills and experience providing evidence-based interventions in
work with children and their families/carers
• Experience and skill in child developmental assessments and observations
• Counselling skills and ability to tailor therapeutic interventions to the needs of
vulnerable children and their families/carers.
• Current Victorian Working With Children Check and Victorian Drivers' Licence.

*Please refer to salary circular for Medical Scientists, Pharmacists & Psychologists Victorian Public Sector (Single Interest Employers) Enterprise Agreement 2021-2025 or Allied Health Professionals (Victorian Public Sector) (Single Interest Employers) Enterprise Agreement 2021-2026 for salary range. Sub-grading will be based on years of experience.
