Hannah’s House supports children and their families with life-limiting or complex conditions to live their best quality of life by providing care, comfort and joy.
We are currently seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Children's Support Worker to assist a family in Leeming, where you will use your previous experience of working with children with complex needs to support the medical and emotional wellbeing of the child.
Responsibilities
As a Children's Support Worker at Hannah's House, you will:
- Provide a high standard of care to the child and support the emotional and psychosocial wellbeing of the child
- Assist the family to deliver care for their child in a safe environment
- Work with other team members, support staff, and families to deliver clinical services of a high standard
- Manage own workload with efficiency
- Participate in regular supervision, attend and contribute to staff meetings and attend education sessions and seminars
- Uphold the Code of Conduct and Confidentially policy in all your decisions and behaviours
- Participate in the development and review of care and support plans
- Complete all required documentation and submit incident reports
Requirements
You will have experience of working with children with complex needs and you MUST be Tracheotomy, Ventilator and PEG competent. Along with this you will:
- Have the ability to travel to families in Leeming, Perth
- Have availability to work Saturday mornings, Sunday nights and Wednesday nights.
