Children's Worker to be apart of our Kids Club program. The Kids club program provides support for primary school aged children and their families to help develop and deliver life skill programs. Kids Club is run before / after school and during the school holidays. This exciting opportunity would suit someone that is dedicated to creating a friendly, caring, and active learning environment.If you have a strong passion about making a difference in children and families lives, we would love to hear from you!What can you expect to be doing?
- Lead, implement, and evaluate appropriate activities and experienced for individual children and/or groups
- Plan and facilitate program sessions for children following the National Quality Standard and the Early Years Leaning Frameworks. (ELF)
- Support an inclusive and diversified, friendly, positive, and engaging culture
- Participate in supervision meetings and attend training and development opportunities as required
What do you need to bring?- Qualifications: in either Children's Work, Youth work or Community Development and experience in working with primary school aged children
- Special Conditions: NPC / WWCC / Driver's Licence / Safe Environments for Children & Young People Certificate / Provide First Aid
- Understanding of the needs of participants from diverse backgrounds, culture, religions and sexuality
- Demonstrated understanding of the need to treat children, parents and community with dignity, respect, courtesy, and empathy in a non-judgemental manner
- Proven ability to facilitate groups and program sessions
