An exciting career opportunity exists for a personable and highly energetic “hands on” manager to join the Angelika Film Centre management team and assist our Cinema Complex Manager at Angelika Film Centre (Brisbane).
Angelika Film Centre is the first dedicated Angelika cinema to open outside of the US, offering an curated arthouse film lineup, alongside a mix of mainstream films. Our new luxurious cinema, brings a new level of sophistication for lovers of fine film.
We seek an individual who demonstrates a proven record of accomplishment in a competitive customer service \ hospitality environment, detailing tangible improvements to the overall customer experience.
This opportunity requires candidates of the highest calibre. The individual must exhibit good business acumen skills, a desire to be a performance-orientated manager, along with strong interpersonal leadership qualities and who demonstrates the ability to get things done. A positive work ethic and the ability to lead with a team approach is considered a ‘must have’.
As the Cinema Manager, you will assist our Cinema Complex Manager with all aspects of our cinema operation including, but not limited to the following:
- Labour management
- Staff recruitment and training
- Stock management
- Adherence to statutory compliance requirements, liquor, food safety, work health & safety
- Maintenance and presentation of facility focusing upon cost control.
- Strong technical skills, coupled with arthouse film experience, would be desirable
A flexible attitude is required with hours determined by the business needs in a fast paced, around the clock environment. Your skill set will also include a strong marketing and promotional focus, in particular, a comprehensive working knowledge of Facebook and other social media platforms is essential.
