About the role:
Reporting to the Executive Manager-City Strategy and Outcomes, this newly created position is pivotal to the execution of the following: Transport Planning, Strategic Planning, Precinct and Structure Planning, Master Planning, preparing and leading Scoping Proposals and Planning Proposals and City Design . Being a member of the City Strategy team, you will have outstanding strategic thinking skills, balanced with an ability to deliver technical solutions for City Strategy and Outcomes. The role has a wide sphere of influence and responsibility for providing accurate and timely advice to stakeholders and senior management that is both innovative and pragmatic.

To be successful in your application you will demonstrate:
• Vision and an ability to think and plan for the future.
• Extensive experience in coordinating the delivery of high-level strategic plans, masterplans or initiatives with demonstrated record of achievement.
• Demonstrated strategic, analytical and lateral thinking and an ability to translate knowledge into strategies and strategic approaches.
• A sound understanding of the economic, environmental and social dynamics relevant to Campbelltown.
• Highly developed political acumen.
• Relevant degree qualifications
• Extensive job-related experience in a planning and development related field
• Proven experience in supervising a multi-disciplinary team
• Expert knowledge of relevant legislation affecting local government, planning, and development
