We are looking for a Civil Designer to join our team working on the Fimiston Project. Reporting to the Civil/ Structural Discipline Manager, you will be required to provide design and drafting requirements throughout the design phase of the Project and beyond.
Role Responsibilities:
- Develop civil design solutions using AutoCAD and Civil 3D
- Provide and be willing to learn concrete and steel work design if and when required
- Review of vendor drawings and design data
- Manage and provide support to the project team to ensure compliance with all applicable legislation, standards, and procedures
- Communicate effectively with the project team, clients and to other project stakeholders
- Produce discipline specific deliverables that meet Primero Groups, the client’s and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements
- Produce project drafting deliverables ensuring quality, schedule and integrity requirements are met
Education and Experience:
- Experience in 3D CAD Civil Design of heavy industrial or resource projects
- Previous experience in 3D modelling and drafting with the relevant CAD package
- Ability to review and provide constructive feedback on vendor drawings and interdisciplinary design data
- Understanding of statutory and industry regulations and HSE practices
- Proven ability to work autonomously or as part of a team
- Strong problem solving and planning skills
