Civil Designer

We are looking for a candidate to join the leading Australian owned integrated professional project services firm in the defence, energy, resources, property and infrastructure sectors.

This job requires you to have design experience in urban development, road and general infrastructure projects. 

Responsibilities:

• Produce civil engineering design and documentation for urban development, transport and civil infrastructure projects using Civil3D and AutoCAD
• Work with Project Managers to balance design work requirements with project budgets and schedules as established with clients
• Interpret civil engineering drawings and plans to determine where to place utility and piping systems
• Participate in the delivery of projects and ensure output is of a high standard and within time and cost budget allocations
• Ensure all design drawings for engineering project work comply with statutory and regulatory requirements 
• Preparation of civil design plans, specifications and estimates for a range of civil design projects
• Liaise with local councils and other authorities to ensure client expectations are met

Experience / Knowledge:

• Relevant tertiary qualifications
• Demonstrated experience within a consulting environment
• Demonstrated high level competency with engineering design software, including, Civil3D and AutoCAD
• Knowledge of local and statutory requirements, legislation and Australian Standards
• Working knowledge of estimating processes, specifications and software applied to civil construction infrastructure
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong problem solving skills and the ability to prioritise multiple projects
• Proficient in the operation of MS Word and Excel
• Ability to show initiative and work to deadlines in a multi‑project environment 
• Ability to work independently and engage and collaborate with stakeholders3dcivi
