Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Civil Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be instrumental in determining construction methods and quality standards, as well as drafting and interpreting specifications, drawings, plans, and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and determine construction methods and quality standards to ensure project success.
Create, review, and interpret detailed specifications, drawings, plans, and procedures to guide construction activities.
Manage the submission and approval process of samples. Work closely with the team to keep the Quality Assurance systems up to date.
Organize and manage site crew, material, and equipment, establishing detailed schedules for site coordination.
Collect and analyze soil and rock samples to assess their properties and determine safe loading capacities for structural foundations.
Estimate project costs by studying architectural and engineering drawings, preparing cost plans, and conducting budgetary control.
Monitor design changes, evaluate their impact on costs, and negotiate variations to maintain budget integrity.
Preparing models for setout and machine control.
Prepare detailed survey reports, maps, and drawings using CAD software’s and other relevant tools.
Collaborate with other Engineering Professionals to provide accurate survey information for project planning and design phases.
Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with project plans, specifications, and relevant regulations.
Conduct as-built surveys to verify construction adherence to the original design.
Provide technical expertise and guidance on survey-related matters to project team.
Undertake necessary calculations and prepare reports.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
Skills:
Proven experience in Civil Engineering, with a focus on engineering surveys and construction methods.
Strong knowledge of design and construction phases.
Proficient in drafting and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
Excellent organizational and project management skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Effective communication and negotiation skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Current Australian driver’s license.
Construction Industry Card (white card).
