As a Civil Engineering Monitoring Technician, you will play a vital role in our site based operations. Your primary responsibility will be to efficiently plan & install IoT devices and supporting hardware. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and innovative organisation within the thriving IoT industry.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Instrumentation setup and operational maintenance.
- Data collection and analysis for compliance with design specifications and
safety standards. - Reporting on monitoring activities, including data calibration and presentation on software.
- Collaboration with project teams to integrate monitoring activities into overall project plans.
- Quality assurance checks on monitoring data for accuracy and reliability.
- Troubleshooting and maintenance of monitoring equipment.
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, safety regulations, and environmental guidelines.
- Other tasks as assigned from time to time.
Skills and Experience:
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Civil Engineering Monitoring Technician or a similar role.
Knowledge of monitoring instruments, data acquisition systems, and
geotechnical & civil testing methods. - Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with relevant Australian engineering codes, standards, and
regulations. - Adhere to company policies and procedures, including confidentiality and data security.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering,
or a related field. - Ability to accurately read and interpret assembly instructions, blueprints, and schematics for sector-specific products.
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity for handling small components and performing precise assembly tasks specific to targeted sectors.
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to follow instructions effectively.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Demonstrated commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
