Civil Engineering Monitoring Technician

As a Civil Engineering Monitoring Technician, you will play a vital role in our site based operations. Your primary responsibility will be to efficiently plan & install IoT devices and supporting hardware. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and innovative organisation within the thriving IoT industry.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• Instrumentation setup and operational maintenance.
• Data collection and analysis for compliance with design specifications and
  safety standards.
• Reporting on monitoring activities, including data calibration and presentation on software.
• Collaboration with project teams to integrate monitoring activities into overall project plans.
• Quality assurance checks on monitoring data for accuracy and reliability.
• Troubleshooting and maintenance of monitoring equipment.
• Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, safety regulations, and environmental guidelines.
• Other tasks as assigned from time to time.

Skills and Experience:

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Civil Engineering Monitoring Technician or a similar role.
  Knowledge of monitoring instruments, data acquisition systems, and
  geotechnical & civil testing methods.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Familiarity with relevant Australian engineering codes, standards, and
  regulations.
•  Adhere to company policies and procedures, including confidentiality and   data security.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering,
  or a related field.
• Ability to accurately read and interpret assembly instructions, blueprints, and schematics for sector-specific products.
• Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
• Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity for handling small components and performing precise assembly tasks specific to targeted sectors.
• Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to follow instructions effectively.
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Demonstrated commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
