With a new strategic direction which will deliver strong results for the community, this exciting and challenging position is based in the beautiful Adelaide Hills location of Stirling, just minutes up the freeway from Adelaide’s CBD, and comfortably accessible from most suburban locations.
Reporting to the Coordinator Civil Projects, this important role is responsible for providing specialist engineering advice to the Civil Services Department, and other areas of Council, including the delivery of Annual Business Plans and the Capital Works Program.
This position focuses on providing mentoring advice to project and technical officers, as well as the delivery of best practice engineering advice, services and expertise in relation to the assessment of development applications, the delivery of projects, and operational activities.
About You
- Experience in the delivery of capital works projects across a range of Civil Infrastructure asset classes is an additional focus.
- Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering along with substantial relevant experience from a broad asset, project management or municipal setting is essential.
- A comprehensive knowledge of civil engineering principles and practices including Australian Standards, Codes and Guidelines is critical.
- A proactive and agile approach, strong team orientation, and the ability to work autonomously.
- High level computer literacy and excellent written and verbal communications skills.
