Snowy Hydro is looking for recent school leavers to join our 3 year Civil Maintainer Traineeship based in Jindabyne, NSW. The traineeship will provide Civil Construction experience and see you assisting the Civil Team with a range of civil works and plant activities such as road and tunnel maintenance, dam surveillance and vegetation and asset protection zone maintenance. This is an excellent opportunity to combine completing a Certificate III in Civil construction - General stream through TAFE, while working and gaining on the job real world experience.
You will be part of a nine day fortnight roster that includes an RDO every second Friday. Your standard hours of work will be from 0710 to 1600.
To be considered for this traineeship program you will have:
Completed year 12 or equivalent qualification
Experience with Google Suite applications such as Google docs and Google sheets
Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a team
Ability to take direction, prioritise tasks and have a can do proactive attitude
Strong attention to detail
Ability to perform manual labour
Enjoy working outdoors and a genuine interest in Civil Construction and Machinery Operation.
Willing to work in remote locations
“C” class manual drivers licence (provisional licence is acceptable)
