THE OPPORTUNITY:
Reporting to the Senior Civils Project Engineer, the Civils Project Engineer is responsible for client-side project role reporting to the Senior Civils Project Engineer. The role is responsible for providing technical assistance in the planning, design, evaluation, execution and handover of Pilbara Minerals major Civil Projects to the operation team.
This is a casual position with a 2/1 roster based at our Pilgangoora Operation.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Assist the Senior Project Engineer and Civils Supervisors in ensuring projects are completed as per the requirements and specifications of the project.
- Responsible for the coordination of engineering design to ensure that design technical and quality standards are achieved within allocated time and budget.
- Responsible for the coordination of equipment procurement, including tender, evaluation, award and expediting delivery.
- Assist in the preparation of installation contract scope of works and commercial tender reviews.
- Contribute to estimating and scheduling components of works execution planning.
- Provide technical design coordination during project execution phase including management of technical queries and engineering consultants.
- Site project quality management, including frequent inspections.
- Assist in site project commissioning and operational handover.
ABOUT YOU:
- An Engineering qualification
- WA C class driver’s license
- Past experience in Civils Project Engineering or Civils Project Delivery position
- Demonstrated experience and knowledge of construction projects
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office software
