POSITION DESCRIPTION
We have exciting opportunities available for Civil and Structural Project and Site Engineers in the Mining and Oil & Gas sectors, involving diverse projects spanning civil earthworks, drainage systems, concrete and steel structures, and more. Responsibilities may include coordinating and overseeing engineering work packs executed by subcontractors, ensuring quality and compliance throughout the projects, and actively contributing to the successful execution of these vital infrastructure projects.
POSITION OVERVIEW
- FIFO roles with varying rosters
- Meals and accommodation provided
- Casual Hourly Rate
- 10-12 hour days
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervising subcontractor activities and managing changes and interactions with subcontractors.
- Conducting inspections, audits, and planning for civil and/or structural engineering tasks such as formwork, rebar, concrete, steel structures, earthworks, and utilities installation.
- Ensuring compliance with procedures, controlling materials, and thoroughly documenting completed work inspections.
- Reviewing specifications, purchase orders, subcontracts, inspection reports, and technical data to provide on-site assistance and advice, ensuring seamless execution of projects.
SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
To excel in this role, you must meet the following criteria:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
- 5 years of experience in Civil/Structural engineering, overseeing sub contractors preferably in the mining, gas, or energy sectors.
- Experience in conducting inspections and audits, with a keen eye for detail and quality assurance.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations
