An opportunity exists for a motivated individual to join our Shire Presentation Team. The position involves a variety of tasks associated with the maintenance of Council's Infrastructure including the cleansing and collection of waste from public spaces.
What you will be doing:
- Work in a team to assist with the maintenance of Council’s Shire Presentation Infrastructure Assets including (but not limited to) cleaning of public spaces and pits, monitoring stockpile sites, minor concreting and paving works, waste collection and assistance to community and other groups and emergency response
- Assist in the delivery of maintenance programs and activities across all of Council’s infrastructure asset classes
- Respond to planned and reactive maintenance requests
- Removal of orphan waste (including asbestos) and cleaning up of sites
- Public place cleaning and waste collection
- Operate plant or equipment including driving a truck and towing a plant trailer
- Use of Council’s electronic works systems.
About you:
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Minimum 1 year experience in a similar role
- Year 10 or equivalent
- NSW Drivers Licence (Class MR) – or willingness to obtain
- White Card – General Construction Induction Licence – or willingness to obtain
Position details:
Permanent full-time role on a nine-day fortnight, W0024 Salary: Up to $65K + Superannuation.
