Position Overview 

Technical Sales Engineer, 

As a Technical Sales Engineer you will be a part of the Technical Sales team providing support to both the commercial and operational functions to deliver best in class customer service and product. Working locally but as part of a much larger Global Marketing Communications team, this role requires you to liaise and network with a broad range of stakeholders. This role works closely with the National Pre-Sales Manager to develop and implement growth strategies and ensure that these are in line with the long-term Leviat goals. 

The role will suit a self-motivated, and confident individual who is experienced in delivering technical strategies to meet organisational objectives. A creative and lateral thinking individual who works cooperatively with colleagues to effectively provide technical expertise and deliver relevant solutions to the customer base. 

Job description

The Technical Support Specialist plays a vital role in ensuring the success of construction projects by providing both pro-active and re-active technical support to stakeholders.

The role includes:

• Promoting engineered construction solutions to external stakeholders during conferences, trade shows and sponsored events.
• Organising & conducting technical seminars / webinars to engineers, architects & consultants.
• Undertaking technical & site enquiries to resolve projects’ design issues and educating specifiers the recommended application & installation of Leviat range of products.
• Providing support to sales activities, including managing EOI’s, tenders and product testing & approvals for major projects.
• Collaborating with other departments within the organisation to provide technical solutions.
• Develop and implement growth strategies, in line with Leviat objectives.
• Build and maintain positive internal and external customer relationships.
• Analyse and explore market trends, identifying new opportunities / risk analysis, and potential income streams / acquisitions.

Essential requirements

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Team player with the ability to contribute both individually and as part of a team.
• Self-confidence with strong interpersonal skills, an excellent communicator with the ability to liaise with people at all levels.
• Flexibility and ability to multitask.
• Self-motivated with a “hands on” results driven approach.
• Strong systems skills with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD
• Minimum degree qualified in structural engineering or similar.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with a willingness to learn and develop others around you.

Desirable requirements

• Experience in delivery of detailed design is highly desirable.
• Showcase your strong internal and external stakeholder management experience, a can-do attitude and importantly a strong team player who works well in an agile and collaborative environment.
• Demonstrates deep industry knowledge and expertise in area of specialism; deepening experience in dealing with complex technical issues.
