A privately-owned Australian contractor who has been established for over 47 years are seeking multiple experienced Civil and Structural Project Engineers to join their team. Based out of on of their 2 offices in either the Northern Shores or the Western Suburbs, your role will be pivotal in designing, assessing, and overseeing the Civil & Structural aspects of multimillion dollar defense projects.Accountabilities
- Support the acquisition and installation of civil and structural components on-site, ensuring alignment with project specifications and Australian Standards.
- Oversee the progress of civil and structural project elements, ensuring timely completion within budgetary constraints.
- Uphold quality standards throughout the installation process.
- Ensure compliance with Australian regulations, safety standards, and project requirements.
- Collaborate closely with project managers, architects, and other engineering disciplines to integrate electrical systems with project objectives.
- Lead the integration of innovative technologies and methodologies into structural design practices.
- Assist the broader team through training initiatives and quality control measures.
- Advocate for a safety-centric culture, prioritizing risk assessment and prevention efforts. Showcase effective management skills by overseeing subcontractor performance to achieve desired outcomes.
- Utilise effective time management skills including sequencing of work of own and resource time management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil & Structural Engineering (accredited by Engineers Australia if acquired overseas).
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in civil and structural engineering, including minimum of 3 years in Australia, specifically in a construction site setting.
- Proficient in using industry-standard software like AutoCAD. Proficiency in Revit and structural analysis tools e.g., Space Gass preferred.
- Strong understanding of the civil and structural electrical standards and safety regulations in Australia.
