OUR PURPOSE IS ‘TO PROTECT’ WE CARE, WE WORK TOGETHER, WE MAKE A DIFFERENCE Claims Officer, Workers Compensation Full-Time Fixed-term contract until 30 April 2024 Role can be based in Woonona, Newcastle, Singleton or Mudgee  Hybrid work arrangements | WFH flexibility available About the role: As a Claims Officer with Coal Mines Insurance (CMI), you will be responsible for the efficient and effective management of claims-related administration and customer-service activities. Key responsibilities include: Accurate and timely payment of accounts and weekly benefits Registration of claims and early notifications Efficient management of customer claims administration, mail, phone enquiries and file management Ability to meet KPI targets in a timely manner Active participation in ongoing projects under management About you: Your education, knowledge and skills will include: Strong computer skills especially with Adobe and Microsoft Office Team player with a focus on customer service excellence Clear verbal and written communication skills with a professional phone manner Organisational skills and ability to prioritise workload Excellent attention to detail and commitment to learning Business Administration Certificate (highly desirable) What we offer: Friendly and supportive team culture Training and professional development provided Remote working up to 3 days/week once trained (subject to business needs) 7.25-hour days, Monday to Friday  5 weeks annual leave plus 20% leave loading (pro rata) 18 days personal/carer’s leave (pro rata) Reward and Recognition program Retailer discounts through Smart Spending App Access to EAP and novated leasing About us: Coal Services is a Specialised Health and Safety Scheme that provides an integrated suite of services (Mines Rescue, Health and Insurance) to help identify, assess, monitor, and control many risks inherent in the NSW coal mining industry.
